Jason Broz and Endeavor’s new Archetype Lab got featured in the new Snowboard Canada Buisness mag. I know this was posted already but that was from SBC’s Blog, this is real paper… haha

It has a section in the mag dedicated to Instagram images. The Endeavor mural got some love, i still love looking at this wall.

This indeed may seem like a bold statement but it is one we continually work hard to ensure holds true. The KNOWSHOW is a bi-annual sales and networking tool catering to Canada’s top lifestyle fashion and action sports retailers. Hand picked brands converge to Vancouver Convention Centre for 3 busy days of line previews and face to face meetings with a growing attendee base of top retailers hailing from coast to coast.

This show is a chance for all shops across Canada to see the new gear. It’s a busy fast paced 3 days that fly by. Here is the our booth for both brands Airhole and Endeavor. Ryan P. in the back ground hard at work.

We celebrated our 10th Year Anniversary during the KNOWSHOW so we invited a few friends over!

The party was amazing so many good friends and lots to talk about.

PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.

It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat”, it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

When it first opened, the DC Mountain Lab took snowboarding by storm. No one in the industry had ever invested that much into a facility for training, marketing and product development. While the Mountain Lab was forced into an early grave thanks to a group of whiny neighbours with nothing better to protest against, a few brands have stepped up to fill the gap.

At the beginning of the 2009/10 season, Smith Optics quietly leased 900 acres of land close to its home office in Ketchum, Idaho. Made famous by the Robot Food films, the area around Smiley Creek Lodge has given the brand home field advantage when it comes to training, product testing and creating content for the web, catalogues and ads.

“From a brand perspective, we think it’s important to show our heritage in an authentic, engaging way,” says Smith’s marketing director Tag Kleiner. “We’re different from our competitors in that the Smith brand was founded in the mountains and we continue to call them our home. Our product testing facilities are steps outside our back door, and we saw the opportunity to show the uniqueness of our brand to a larger audience.”

Heading into its rookie season, the Archetype Lab at Endeavor Snowboards will allow the development of new shapes, testing new materials and trying different camber, kick and side-cut profiles. Filling almost 2,500 sq. ft. of Endeavor’s new office space, the lab is home to all the machinery needed to take a board from concept to prototype in less than 12 hours.

“Now that we have an adjustable system we’re able to tinker away and try anything we want,” says Endeavor founder Max Jenke, pointing out that the classic method of building and developing prototype boards at an overseas production facility just isn’t efficient or effective. “To really try new concepts and work our way through all the problem solving, it’s just not possible in a production setting.”

Filmer Mikael Normann captured the five part series “Cold Front” to be released over the next five weeks.

In “Part 4: Risto FML”, our guy discusses some tough injuries and how he keeps his head up and focused on getting the shots. Let’s cross our fingers his bad luck has run out!

“Part 5: The Endeavor Team edit” is the next film in the series, to be released on January 16, 2012.

Mount Seymour hosted the Game of Snow on January 7, 2012. Like HORSE or SKATE, the idea is to land your best trick and watch to see who can follow suite. If you crash, you get a letter. You don’t want letters.

180′s, 270′s, 360′s, 50/50′s, boardslides and more. Watch as 30 riders compete for $1000 cold hard cash.

In the end the top prize was split between the top two riders Endeavor AM Trint Thomas and Jordan Phillips.
